Oh No It’s Monday: Carnival Edition

best-of-money-carnival-2Good morning everyone!

It’s Monday and I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!  Some of you who follow me closely know I am ending the summer semester in my public speaking class today.  In fact, I have to squeeze together a persuasive speech to give to my class tonight.  Usually I am in the final stages of writing my speech, but this one is different.  I was hit with a curve ball when I got extremely sick over the weekend.  I work weekends, and didn’t want to call out of work, so the time I spent at home was where I should of been all along…in bed!  I currently have an A+ in the class so I am not worried, but I surely do not want to under perform to bring that grade down.  My final paper is due on Wednesday as well so this is going to be a tough week for me.

With a little gazelle intensity I think I can pull it off so wish me luck!  I was pleased to find out that an article I submitted to The Best Of Money Carnival this week was chosen to appear as one of the top ten selections.  The Best Of Money Carnival: Bento Food Art Edition was hosted by The Digerati Life.  Please head over and check it out, I know you will enjoy it, especially if you like colorful food art!  😀

I will do my best to publish some great stuff for all of my wonderful subscribers this week, but they may come a little later in the week.  I would also like to share with you that this week, on August 7th, I will be extremely happy to be celebrating my 5 year anniversary with my beautiful wife.  I would say that she is pretty lucky to have such a passionate debt free blogger as her husband, but the truth is I am the lucky one.  Every day that I wake up I am glad she is there beside me.  She is a wonderful wife and an even better mother.  In October, we will be joined by another little Enemy Of Debt, and we can’t wait to meet him.  Two boys raising a ruckus should keep things interesting to say the least.  Again…wish me luck!

If you are new here today, why don’t you take a look around and please subscribe.  If you are battling with debt of your own I hope you will find a little bit of hope here to get you moving in the right direction.  One thing I know is that no matter how bad you think your situation is, YOU CAN DO IT!  Now is the best time to start!  Eliminate that debt and find out why financial peace is the best kind of peace to have.  Saddle up. 😀

If you have any questions, I respond to ALL submissions.  Please feel free to contact me and I will do my best to answer your question in a timely manner.  Have a great week!

Wow, you have alot of good goin’ for you. Congrats on your anniversary and another child on the way. And much good luck on your speech tonight. I actually took my speech class as a hybrid – most of it done online and then we met 3 times out of the semester to give our big speeches. It was great!

Yeah life is pretty nice right now, I have no complaints. I am so glad I took the public speaking class. I have learned so much that is going to help me handle my speaking engagement in September. I have to speak for an entire hour but I think I can break it into enough sections to make it go well. Plus I’ll have a Q&A at the end.

Here’s another thing we will be celebrating soon; DEBT FREEDOM!! We are hoping to be debt free (except for the house) by the time our little guy is born at the end of October. That would be NICE!

I love how you refer to the baby as a “little Enemy Of Debt.” That’s sweet.

Surely, you’ll call in to the Dave Ramsey Show after you pay off your debt. I can’t wait to hear your debt free scream.

I heard from an artist I met on a plane about a month ago that she officially became debt free last Friday.

I used to only hear about people becoming debt free on the Dave Ramsey Show. More and more, I’m actually interacting with people who are choosing the same path. And, it’s refreshing.

LOL Shawanda! Believe me when I tell you I am going to teach them early on about why debt is a bad idea. If it’s up to me, (and it is) they will be writing about living debt free on 3rd grade writing assignments. LOL Could you imagine that? I have to admit I like the sound of it. Talk about something to frame and put on my office wall proudly? That would be WAY better than any college diploma to me!

Refreshing indeed! The sad thing is that a lot of people have to go through pain in order to make it to the point of changing their lifestyle and behaviors regarding money. It’s why I started this blog! A debt free world is more peaceful, charitable, and ALIVE! 😀
