  1. Great comprehensive list of goals Brad! Well done! U should go watch Vice Vaugh in “Couples Retreat” and have a blast!

    Good luck in 2010!

    • Thanks for the recommendation man! It looks funny! Looks like I will get to rent it the day after my birthday. It releases on February 9th. I wish it was playing at the theaters here. We are considering going to see Avatar. :D

      • “Vice Vaugh” lol… oops.

BTW, what is your exact weight loss goal? Curious since you put it out there.

        • Umm, well I was slightly extremely embarrassed to mention it here but okay.

I want to weight 210 by the end of the year. After many failed attempts, and some temporarily successful ones, I plan to make 2010 different. Right now I am 6’1″ and weigh 280 so I plan to lose 70 pounds. (eeeek!) :) Did I just say that out loud. LOL

It doesn’t matter though my friend because this is the year it will happen right? I am gonna need some support for sure. Losing weight has been harder than quitting smoking. (did that FINALLY, and FOR GOOD, just over two years ago.)

  2. Wow! I feel totally inadequate now. Thanks, Brad.

Just kidding! Great list and very inspirational.

    • You’re not inadequate I’m just a freak. LOL Now I just need to be a freak about accomplishing them and 2010 will be a great year for me! Thanks for checking them out! Happy New Year!

  3. Wow at this list, I thought I was doing good with 3 goals lol. Good job, be back I need to go revamp mine lol

  4. Sam

Wow! That’s quite a list of goals! Good luck with all of it! :)

    • Thanks Sam! I know if I do it, success will be mine. There are some bold goals and items to accomplish but even if I only complete 3/4′s of it, life will be pretty awesome! :)

  5. b trader

wow i’ve never had that many goals in my life i think. makes me think about trying a lil harder

    • My homeboy Brian! What’s up man? So good to hear your thoughts man! I honestly have never had a list like that myself. This is a first. I have made goals, but never have I decided to put together such a detailed list. You have not seen anything yet. On Monday I will hit you up with part two to this goal setting post. Trying to give people clear ways to make things happen!

Can’t wait to hang out with you again man! Modern Warfare 2 anyone? :)

  6. Angie

Whoa – those are some lofty goals! Good luck with all of them.

  7. Sweet, man! I am very excited for you and VERY ready to help you be accountable for the next 8 weeks and then through your monthly updates.

You have a LOT of great goals here. Have you broken them down to smaller chunks of time like you did with your fitness goals in the challenge at my site? It seems like it would be more attainable and easier to track if you had mini-goals each month or even week. For example, it would seem super-useful to know what exactly you will accomplish on your EOD business plan in January, February, etc.

I don’t have as many goals as you written down (though you have me thinking now :) ), but the ones that I do are very specific. For instance, I really want to write an e-book that I’ve had rattling around in my head the past month or so. You could sort of think of it as an Engaged Marriage approach to The Love Dare idea (more practical and specific, less time-intensive and geared toward younger couples that already have good marriages). Well, I have specific dates for when I HAVE to have different steps done. Look for it ready to launch on June 1st!

You are very inspirational…keep it up!

I just completed my goal list for 2010 thanks to you. I want to lose weight , I want to stop using credit (So hard for me), I want to pay off 4 credit cards, spend more time helping my children in school, Eat out less, & go to church more.

  9. Wow! That’s quite a list. You can’t procrastinate with that much to accomplish. Let’s be WW buddies and keep each other accountable. I’m heading off to weigh-in in the next hour; it’s not going to be pretty!

    • That is so true…well, I could, but none of it would get done. LOL I hope your weigh-in went better than expected. Totally on board for doing the weight watchers thing. I no longer am signed up with weight watchers but plan to implement the point system that absolutely works! Today is the first day that we have started using the points again. So far so good! :D

  10. Arturo

It is awesome how you Brad can respond to every comment the folks write; you may have too much free time in your agenda (jajaja just kidding); and you will be surprise to know that I read you since some months ago from Dominican Republic, which you were not surely waiting to be read so far and from a Spanish speaking country.

I have to prepare my list of goals but surely will be around these: preparing an annual budget and stick to it, creating an emergency fund, begin to write a blog and learning to create some different source of income through internet.

Hope to continue reading you and learning from you.

    • Hey Arturo!

LOL man, usually that’s not the case. Most of the time I feel I am neglecting the comments section even when I do my best to get over here. I am on an extended holiday until the week of the 20th so yes I have WAY too much time on my hands. hahaha!

Arturo those are some great goals and I know you can do it! If you want to you can make yourself! :) I usually do not make myself but this year I hope that changes. Like I said I may even start another blog to keep up with it. Thanks for leaving your goals here and I hope you continue to come back to learn more and stay motivated my friend! :D

      • Arturo

So you are beginning another blog !!! Have same goal as me; but you know know everything about opening, positioning and developing a blog, and even profiting from your blog.

Any idea of a way I could learn how to do so ???

        • The best resource for learning how to blog is ProBlogger. Darren is an excellent resource!!

          Good luck Arturo!! :D

          • I just bought Darren’s 31 Day to a Build a Better Blog and am ready to tackle day 3. Nice to know that your blog is an example!

          • That is a great resource for sure Bucksome! I read Darren’s book and would recommend it to anyone as well. I signed up for the better blog challenge when he launched it. I still have a lot to put into action but from what I have been able to implement has worked great!

  11. Holy crap if you can just accomplish 1/10th of those you’d be The Man! haha…great work my friend, it’s nice to see people really gearing up and taking control of their lives like that. Much better than some lazy ones like myself ;)

    • I got news for you J, lazy people do not accomplish what you have accomplished. But maybe if you did have some specific challenges written down you could do more? :) I got your back man!

  12. Brad, my wife won’t be seeing your list of resolutions, otherwise it may raise her expectations for me!

I strongly recommend the bible studies. I’ve been in a men’s bible study group for over 8 years, and it changes you’re whole perspective on life and everything in it. There’s real illumination/revelation in bouncing interpretations!
