It’s been a crazy weather week here in Minnesota. On Tuesday we were outside in shorts and t-shirts enjoying 75 degree weather at my son’s baseball practice. Yesterday I had to throw on my winter jacket and boots to shovel 13.5 inches of snow that got dumped on us from the largest snow storm ever to hit Minnesota in May.
On the financial front, my freelancing income got a boost in April as I picked a few new pieces of work. Extra income is always good, and provides some additional breathing room in our financial picture!

LOVED the post, Serena – I’ve been spending some time reading posts on your blog – can’t wait to see what you come up with next!
Glad to hear we’re not the only ones with crazy weather! It was 85-86 on Monday and I was having to avoid the temptation to turn on the A/C, Tuesday it was 75 and Thursday night we got 2 inches of snow with more on the way this weekend…craziness!
John, my daughter was totally bummed about the snow….but we’re forecasted to be in the 70’s again by Tuesday next week so it won’t last long. Spring/Summer will win eventually – stay strong! LOL.
This weather we’ve been having has been crazy, hasn’t it? Nice and in the 70s all weekend, and then back into the 30s and 40s and snow this week. My softball game went on last night, but it was cold standing out there on the field, trying not to freeze in the cold wind. Oh well, warm weather will be here in no time!
At least you could stand in your field, Peter! 🙂 It will be interesting to see how fast this stuff melts next week – have a great weekend!
Well that’s a change, Travis – we are snow free here!!! We got nothing this last round. Have a great weekend. 🙂
I used to like you, Laurie, but I’m not sure we can be friends now. LOL….I’m sure ours will melt in the next few days – 70s by Tuesday!!!
Great links! Hope you have a great weekend.
Thanks Mike, great to hear from you…..give the link authors some love! 🙂
I have some reading material now!
Hope you like the links, Cassi, and hope you had a great weekend! What were some of your favorite posts this week?
Thanks Travis! I’m glad you liked it — and good luck with the weather! Isn’t it supposed to be almost-summer?!
All the snow has now melted and this morning I enjoyed a nice outside run….I think the good stuff is finally here to stay! Hope you’re having a great week!
