On May 2nd, we had 15 inches of snow dumped on us. On May 14th temperatures soared into the middle 90s. My son, who inexplicably is somehow 14 years old already and will be entering high school next year, is being confirmed this weekend.
Life is crazy.
Even more crazy, we received a flyer in the mail for that 14 year old son to signup for driver’s training. $350. Really? My public school supplied that class for free for everyone when I was his age. I could just say it’s too expensive and not have him do it, but in reality I’m just trying to keep him from growing up. Sometimes both Vonnie and I have a hard time dealing with how fast time is flying by. It makes me want to go to my happy place and hide out for awhile.
Maybe reading some awesome blog posts will help……

Hey Travis! Thank you so much for including me in your round up. I really appreciate it, and I’m glad the post made you fist pump. Woot!
It’s not Friday until you fist pump! have a great weekend!
Wow, your son is almost driving?! That’s quite a milestone. Just yesterday, I heard a guy talk about how his daughter had just turned 30, which sort of stunned him. How did time fly by so fast?
By the way, I love the tagline in the Enemy of Debt header: “Where Behavior Meets Reality.” Haha! I love it!
Yeah, Paula, almost driving…..I’m frightened, and not just a little bit. I remember being his age, and it doesn’t seem that long ago, but it really is.
That is a great tagline isn’t it, Brad is the motivational master. 🙂
Wow, I think Mother Nature is having some sort of identity crisis in your part of town, Travis! 🙂
Have an awesome weekend! Hope it’s not too hot and not too cold, but just right 😉
It IS actually going to be “just right” this weekend, Mackenzie – and I shall enjoy sitting on my deck with a cold one or two, or three……lol
Great reads! Hope you have a great weekend.
Our son got confirmed on Sunday, followed by some severe weather (I love storms) – so it couldn’t have been much better – hope the same for you Mike!
I missed this last weekend. But no worries. I can still catch up on it. Thanks.
Hellz yeah you can, KC – I encourage it! 🙂
