Friday baby, YEAH! It’s payday and our emergency fund is up…unfortunately so is my weight. I can’t out exercise bad eating habits, I need to remember that. We don’t have any big plans for the weekend, which feels great. I do, however, plan to punish myself for the weight gain with some ass kicking workouts. Maybe I’ll even throw something on the smoker – wait, what’s that about eating better?
What do you have going on this weekend?

Emergency Fund Update
Paycheck week! Time to pay the emergency fund!
- Total Balance: $200
- Goal Balance: $1000 (by February 28th)
Marathon Training Update
This morning’s weigh in is extremely disappointing. I don’t have a clue what happened to have caused a weight gain of that magnitude. I do know that I need to do a better job of watching my food intake, so I’ll be focusing on that this week.
- 11/15 Weight : 211.9 (+3.3 pounds)
- Total Weight Loss: (0.9)
- Goal Weight : 185.0
Thank you for the mention and best of luck with getting the EF funded 🙂
You’re welcome, Dojo….our emergency fund is moving on up!
I bought a random slice of pumpkin pie at the farmer’s market yesterday. MMMMM. Sorry about the weight gain but I think its pretty normal to fluctuate. Keep up the good work with the efund!
Pumpkin pie….you’re not nice, Tonya. Not nice at all. 😉 The best I can do is keep working hard, right? Thanks for reading!
I think I’m gaining some weight post-marathon. It’s hard when the weather gets cold and the holidays start. It all makes me want to hibernate.
I had the same thing happen to me after my last marathon – it was a good month or more before I recovered enough to run or really do anything. But I kept eating the same amount of food…..so you know what happened there. Colder weather just makes me move inside, I don’t mind a treadmill for a few months out of the year. Thanks for stopping by, Stefanie!
It always gets worse before it gets better. Oftentimes people initially gain some weight before they start to lose a lot of it. Good luck!
That’s what I’ve found! I’ve been lifting weights and I’ve gained a couple pounds! Arghhhh! I’m hoping it’s all that heavy muscle I’m gaining 🙂
You certainly do want to go more off of how you look and feel than the scale. But right now I’m not seeing either. More hard work ahead – thanks for your comment, Dee!
Thanks for the positive thoughts…but I’m past that point – I’ve been a hard exerciser for years. 🙂 Time to toughen up and make it happen.
My eating habits have been pretty bad lately, too. I always try to justify it by saying I’m loading up on protein haha
Funny how we can justify what we eat, Lisa…I say “I exercise like a beast, so I can eat whatever I want.” Doesn’t quite work that way. 🙂
