I Love You Like a Blogger Roundup – 11/29

Happy Black Friday, EOD Nation!  I slept in until 8:30, which is HUGE for me since I normally get up at 4:30 or 5:00am.  A good night’s sleep feels way better than spending a bunch of money on things I don’t need.  I had a house full of family yesterday and had a fantastic Thanksgiving stuffing my face with food and other goodies and watching football.

Speaking of goodies, we had a $100 Visa Gift Card Giveaway going on here an Enemy Of Debt the last few weeks, and it closed last night and it’s time to announce the winner:

Stephanie Gossett, come on down!!!  You will be contacted in the next few days regarding your prize.  Congratulations!!!

It’s time to work off some of those calories we ate yesterday, so raise your fist high in the air and pump away….do it twice if you have to!

Marathon Training Update

Thanksgiving rocked from a fun perspective……it sucked from a weight perspective.  This is not going well so far…what can I do but keep working at it?  On the plus side, I’ve been working my ass off in the gym, and have never been stronger.  I ran over 20 miles this week, and another 20 miles on the Expresso bike.

  • 11/22 Weight  : 213  (+1.6)
  • Total Weight Loss: (+2.0)
  • Goal Weight  :   185.0

  1. Sounds like you had a great thanksgiving. I actually didn’t go TOO overboard thankfully, but still feel rather tired and groggy today. I’m sure you’ll get back on track with the weight loss in no time, and congrats on continuing to grow your efund!

I didn’t think I went too overboard on T-day….it was probably more with the adult beverages than anything else to be honest. Back at it this week!

  2. Thanks for the fist pump Travis! I had to work on (U.S.) Thanksgiving 🙁

  3. Sleeping in is amazing! Won’t be happening for me tomorrow though 🙁 Thanks for including my post!

I slept in……AND got a great door buster deal at 5PM. Sounds like a blog post, huh? Maybe you’d better check back tomorrow and see how that happened….. 🙂

Since I live in Canada, we traditionally don’t have Black Friday sales (our big sales day is Boxing Day/Week) but because there is so much competition with US retailers, pretty much every store in Canada was having some sort of Black Friday sale.

    I forgot about this today.

I totally want back the hour I was stuck in gridlock traffic today. I should have stayed in bed and napped instead!

    • Travis says:

My city doesn’t have traffic like that…it’s not that big (about 100,000 with no suburbs). So any time I have to sit in traffic drives me absolutely nuts – usually when I go to the Minneapolis/St Paul area just an hour north of us. That’s interesting that Black Friday is migrating north into Canada…..it’ll be interesting to see how that progresses in the coming years!

  5. Thanks for the mention! Some people just don’t understand why I want to even get out of debt. In my article, I gave 5 reasons why someone should care, and I think they are pretty solid reasons.

  6. Kicking it as usual on those weight loss/emergency fund goals, Travis – way to go! Have a great Sunday. 🙂

    Yay! Awesome!
