My daughter is getting confirmed this weekend, so we’re having the carpets in our main living areas cleaned today. I’m spending the morning moving furniture around so we can get the most carpet cleaned possible in each of the selected rooms. We had looked into replacing all the carpet in our home, but that was more money than we were willing to spend right now. Hopefully spending a little money on having the carpet cleaned will allow us to put off the major expense of replacement for a little while.
Fist pump for clean carpets and my favorite posts of the week!

Yay, clean carpets. I have wood floors and I can barely keep those clean 😉 Thanks for the love!
Yay indeed for clean carpets, Stefanie….I love clean carpets. 🙂
Thanks for including my post on Eyes on the Dollar. I really appreciate it. I bought a carpet cleaner so I can clean my carpets myself every few months. I think it’s a necessity since I have indoor pets that shed and drag dirt in when they come in from outside.
We have a carpet cleaner too, which I use often…it works well for “every day” cleaning, but there are some places that it will not get (stairs are hard). An occasional professional cleaning is well worth it!
Happy Friday Travis. Enjoy the weekend with the family. Nothing like saving a little money to start it of right!
I agree, Brian! I hoipe there are many more of these weekends coming up! 🙂
Thanks for sharing our post, Travis! I think it’s awesome that you cleaned the carpets instead of replaced them. We live in a 70s rambler and some (much) of it is original and “in need” of being replaced. But every time we put off a major repair or renovation I think about the money we have invested or going towards debt and feel great about it!
As long as your comfortable with your decision, that’s all that matters…and getting rid of more debt? AWESOME.
