I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! My family’s big plans consisted of……well…..not much. We picked up a friend of my son’s at the airport and went to the Mall Of America indoor theme park (using all day wristbands that I got for over half off through my employer…SCORE!). Then we came home, grilled, and watched our city’s fireworks from a hill in a park behind our house. They were kind of far away, but there were also plenty of people around us that were shooting off fireworks, and we enjoyed them all. Cheap theme park wristbands, and enjoyment of fireworks other people bought. It doesn’t get any better than that!
Fist pump with me!

Sounds like a great inexpensive weekend! We enjoy some family time and BBQing at home too. Thanks for the mention.
The smell of burning coals is the smell of saving money….AND delicious food! 🙂
Thanks for the mention, Travis! Have a great weekend. 🙂
I got a bit behind on my comments, Laurie…but definitely had a great weekend!
Sounds like a really relaxing weekend! Our friends just had their third kid so my wife and I are going to surprise them by offering to take their two boys to the Mall of America for the day sometime in August. I think the boys will enjoy it – though they may be too young for the theme park.
That’s a wonderful surprise, DC – hope the kids had fun!
