Hey everybody, Happy Friday!! First, I would like to explain why EOD feels like a ghost town this week. I have only posted one article, which was on Monday. I have recently had the opportunity to learn just how valuable my laptop really is WAS.
Not all of it was because of my laptop though. To start the week off I had an exam to take on Tuesday and I needed to ace it to keep an A for the semester, so needless to say I spent the weekend, all day Monday, and some of Tuesday studying to make sure that happened. Wednesday I said, “I need a break, I’ll post on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to make up for it.”
That’s when it happened. MY LAPTOP DIED!
Okay, well it didn’t actually die, but you may as well say it did, because it is no longer connecting to the internet. My laptop is my lifeline to Enemy of Debt because I have two kids. 😀 One is almost four and could take Curious George down in a race to see who is more curious, and the other runt is six and a half months old. Baby Noah happens to be teething right now so he is not as happy as his former self, but it is pretty understandable. This has thrown his sleep schedule all out of whack, as well as mine, as he has woke up in the middle of the night VERY frequently—for hours.(No need to pull out the violins—I signed up for this trip and wouldn’t exchange it for the world or 50 million dollars.) 😉
My laptop enabled me to be ANYWHERE, and still stay on top of things here at Enemy of Debt, while still being able to watch my awesome Rug-rats. This week has been very hard as I have not been able to sneak away to my office location and be able to watch them both. To make a long story short, I am hoping to get my connectivity issues squared away this weekend so that next week I will be able to get back on schedule. I have a lot to share with you.
For now take a look at some of my favorite posts from around the blogosphere in the last two weeks.
P.S. For those of you interested in hearing about my weight loss journey, I am hoping to share something with you on Saturday. I have joined a 5 man team called Beefcakes, to try and lose the most weight (the healthy way of course) in a 3 month period. Stay tuned!
P.S.S. For all you stay-at-home-moms out there, I look up to you! How do you do it, and are men capable of doing it AS GOOD? LOL I have come to realize that taking care of the kids is much harder work than a 9-5 job. 🙂

Sounds like you had a rough and tumble week. Hope those laptop issues get squared away and that your weekend goes great. Thanks for the link!
Yeah Chris it was rough. As you can see by the time I am still up. It’s the only way I can really get anything done, at least efficiently anyway. I got a lot knocked out tonight, but Saturday is going to be a rough day. 😀
Thanks for the shout outs my brotha! If i were ballin’ like we will be in 10 years I’d pick ya up a laptop myself 🙂
LOL my friend! Those days will be great too! I am ready for this stuff to stop popping up though cuz I need to start hitting the emergency fund up again. Murphy kind of moved into my house the last month and a half. I will reach my goal of $15,000 by the end of the year though, even if I have to sell Enemy of Debt to do it. HAHA!! You absolutely know that wouldn’t happen though but it was funny for about .54 seconds.
Darn Laptop!!! Mine broke outright late last year after several years of abuse from me…. I am treating the new one much nicer now!
I know how ya feel, I just got finished replacing my desktop PC. My laptop looks like it fell from the top floor of a skyscraper, because my son likes to see how things come apart. LOL He took some of the keys off of it, and spilled yogurt on it too. I’ve only had it for a year and a half. It won’t renew ip address because it says “media disconnected, but it still shows all of the networks. It just won’t connect to them. Looks like it is going to be more difficult than I thought.
Kids m eh :)…. I was that kid once.
LOL, me too! 🙂
Thanks for the mention Brad, sounds like an aggravating week!
I had to replace an old laptop a while back. It was hellish not being able to get online!
And yeah, taking care of the rugrats is tougher than your average 9-5!
Hey Brad! Thank you so much for including my post in this round-up. I look forward to checking out the other posts now.
So sorry to hear about your laptop woes — I feel your pain.
Hope you’re having a great day!
-Dena
Thanks Dena! Yeah it sucks when you lose something as important as a computer or a laptop. Fortunately for me, I just have to figure out how to make the internet work again. I would be hating it even more if my laptop blew completely or something.
