Vonnie and I are hosting a get together for her side of the family tomorrow. Of course I found it as a fantastic reason to offer to fire up the smoker and make pulled pork. Not only is it delicious, but it’s an relatively inexpensive way to make a large quantity of great food for a largish gathering. If you ever find yourself in South Eastern Minnesota, let me know and I’ll throw some wood in the smoker, fire up some home made BBQ sauce and show you what I mean.
Fist pump for BBQ!

Thanks much for the mention Travis, I really appreciate it! Sounds like a fun weekend – we’re actually going to be up in Minneapolis in early April – I just might take you up on your offer. 😉
Oh, cool! Yeah, as it gets closer to April we’ll have to touch base – I’d love to hook up and say “Hey” when you’re in the area!
Hmmm….BBQ. Enjoy the food and family!
It was a great time, Brian! My wife was worried that nobody was going to show up – we had close to 50 people at our home!
That pulled pork sounds delicious! Thanks for mentioning my Frugal Rules article too, I appreciate it! Have an awesome weekend. 🙂

Nothing tastes better than some smoked BBQ in the middle of winter, Michelle – thanks for your comment!

I love pulled pork! We make ours in the slow cooker and smother it with BBQ sauce.
You’ve linked to some great posts. I enjoyed reading both the Frugal Rules post and the Plunged In Debt post!
Cooking it slow and low (temperatures) makes it the best, right Jon? When I make it in the slow cooker like that, I wrap it up in tortillas, top it with cheese and enchilada sauce – oh man now I’m hungry!
