I got an email from my daughter’s teacher telling me that Tori had a part in her Elementary School Assembly yesterday. So Vonnie and I showed up to watch our daughter help teach her schoolmates about integrity. What we didn’t know was that she was one of two people voted by her class as a person of integrity and would be receiving an award during the assembly.
So. Proud. Of. Her.
Another person that I’m extremely impressed with, and very fortunate to have met in person at last year’s Financial Blogger’s Conference, is Cait from Blonde on a Budget. She’s had quite a week being featured in a video by The Globe and Mail, as well as an article by Learnvest. Both of them are included in this week’s favorite posts. Check out those posts, as well as the others below.

Very cool roundup, Travis. Thanks for sharing the great stuff and have a nice weekend!
Thanks, Tony, hope you enjoy the posts – have a good weekend yourself!
Great list of suggested readings. They seem to be very interesting and informative. I will drop by these blogs this weekend. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Cherleen – check ’em out and give them some love!
Congratulations to your daughter! Wow!
Thanks Michelle! I haven’t even told Tori that I featured her in this roundup….she always gets a kick out of it when I mention her in my posts. It is very cool….in fact just tonight she asked if she could frame her award and put it on her wall. You better believe we’re doing that! I’m not sure which is better – the fact that she won the award, or the fact that she’s proud of doing so. 🙂
Travis, that is COOL! Of all that I know about you guys, the debt reduction, your tireless work to help others, etc., this is by far the coolest, knowing that you’ve raised your kids to be people of intergrity. That’s not an easy thing to do in this day and age. What an amazing accomplishment!
I appreciate your kind words, Laurie – that young lady is very special in so many words. Seeing what both she and her brother can accomplish pushes and motivates me to be the best daddy that I possibly can. It would be a disservice to their potential not to be. 🙂 Great to hear from you….hope you’re ready for the next round of winter headed our way!
