This weekend I’ve got one of my favorite neighborhood activities on tap – Poker Night! There is a group of about 8 of us (not everyone can make it all the time) that get together once a month to play Texas Hold ‘Em. I usually buy in with $20 worth of chips, and play until it’s gone, or until midnight whichever comes first. Whether I win a few bucks, lose it all, or somewhere in between, it’s always a fun and inexpensive night with the guys.
It’s so much fun that it makes me wanna fist pump, which coincidentally is exactly what we like to do here on Fridays. What do you have on tap this weekend?

I love playing poker! I got together with some buddies to play recently and it was a lot of fun. We do .10 / .25 blinds and it makes it so you can realistically win $20-$30 and rarely would people lose more than $20 – $30. I need to get people together again sometime soon to play. Hope you have a good one!
We used to do tournament style, each player putting in $10 per game. But one game can take hours, and if you’re the first one out, you just sit for a long time. Now we do 25/50 cent blinds, and you can buy in or cash out at will. I go with $20, and when it’s gone it’s gone. This time I ended up winning $10…whoohoo!
I love poker too!!! I used to play all the time, but not so much anymore.
Thanks for mentioning my post!
Our poker night is supposed to be once a month, but it kind of comes and goes. Great way to get together with friends for the night, you just never know what’s gonna happen!
I’m not a huge poker fan, but it sounds like a great time and pretty cheap at that. I’m bottling my latest home brew this weekend, so I’m looking forward to that. Thanks for the mention, really appreciate it sir!
Home Brewing sounds like a perfect weekend to me as well….hope it turns out for you, John!
Thanks for the fist pump, Travis! Always appreciate your support! Poker night sounds like a lot of fun. One of my closet friends is in town this weekend with her kids, and I can’t wait to see her and her family. Have a great weekend and good luck at Poker night!
I had a blast (as always) at poker night…hope yours was equally as awesome with your friend and family!
