I Love You Like A Blogger Roundup 4/17

fistpumpLast weekend we had a birthday party for our daughter – she turned 13!!!!  Vonnie and I are now the proud parents of TWO teenagers.  We bought a huge roll of contractor’s plastic and built a “splatter paint cube” in our garage.  It was actually our daughter’s idea….but we made it come to life.  Tori and her friends each got a container with washable paint and a brush.  They went in the cube and threw paint everywhere.  They had a blast.  It turned out to be more expensive than we had anticipated, so this weekend is a “lay low” weekend.

Fist pump for an awesome birthday party, her friends are still talking about it!

  1. In 3 months we will have three – teenagers in our house. Yikes! Glad the party was a success! Enjoy the low key weekend!

  2. Sounds like a fun party! Happy Birthday to Tori!

  3. LOVE the idea of the paint cube – how creative!! Sounds like a super fun weekend – happy birthday to Tori from The Frugal Farmer family!

  4. I was curious about the paint box/cube, thanks for describing how it actually worked. Sounds like a really fun birthday. Thanks for sharing Erin’s post. I think it’s important to exhaust your options before getting a personal loan, though I do think they can serve a purpose at times.

Those kids had such a great time!!! I agree, there are times that a personal loan can serve a good purpose….but people have to be careful to use them wisely. Taking out a loan to go on vacation? Not a good choice….!

I guess teens still love to make a mess. That actually sounds really fun for adults too. Thanks for the mention.

Oh they made a mess…..we thought we could contain the mess to the cube…we were wrong. we have a trail of red paint smudge in our garage. LOL. nothing a hose and a warm day can’t take care of though. 🙂

  6. Sounds like a great birthday party! My oldest will be a teen in a year and a half and I’m both terrified and thrilled! 🙂 Thanks for the shout-out, I really appreciate it!
