I Love You Like a Blogger Roundup – 4/18

Tuesday was payday.  I did the usual reconciling of the checkbook, paying the bills, and creating our budget worksheet for the remainder of the month.  Vonnie and I sat down to have our usual Payday financial discussion.  When we got to the part of how much we had in our checking account she stared at me and said, “What?  How come it’s so high?”  We went through the numbers in detail, and I explained that apart from not having to make a huge payment to our now complete debt management plan, we didn’t spend all of our discretionary funds from the first half of the month.

Wait, that can actually happen?  Apparently so.  It’s a new concept for us, so I’m just going to enjoy it for the moment.

Speaking of awesome, last night I participated with a couple of other bloggers in the recording of a podcast for the site Stacking Benjamins.  It’ll go live in a few weeks, I’ll make sure I point you at it when it’s live.  So. Much. Fun.

Finally, it’s time to get those fists up.  There were an unbelievable amount of articles that deserved a fist pump this week so the list is longer than normal.  Partly because of this week’s Financial Literacy Carnival hosted by Shannon over at the Heavy Purse.   I had a hard time keeping it under ten to be honest with you.  Pace yourself, you’ve got some extra work to do this Friday, and I don’t want you to pull something in the process.

Happy Friday!
