Over the last few months I’ve been making an effort to use coupons to help save on groceries, household items, and other essentials of life. It’s obviously one of those things that you get out of it as much as you put into it. It takes time to dig through the local ads as well as websites to find coupons that match the products that my family actually uses.

Through my quest for using coupons experience (say that fast 10 times!) I’ve found a handful of websites on which I have been able to find useful coupons that can genuinely save my family money.

BargainBabe : This site comes in blog format in which the posts fall into three main subjects:

  • Useful ways to save money
  • Printable grocery coupons for groceries as well as many household items.
  • Free product or sample offers

Who doesn’t love free?

Save1 : If you’re looking for coupon codes to save you money on a wide range of retail products including clothing, sporting goods and travel, this is a great site. Many of the offers can be used both online, and in the brick and mortar stores. I found a coupon today that would save me 25% off an Old Navy order which would come in very handy as both my kids need spring clothes. As an added bonus, with each use of a coupon code Save1 donates part of the commission paid to them from the store to provide a meal to help a child in need around the world.

Save money, AND make the world a better place – that’s pretty cool!

Coupon Suzy : This site contains both coupons for household items and coupon codes for online purchases. It also has an option to type in your zip code and find coupons for your local area.

Saving money using coupons isn’t difficult, but it does take a little effort. Finding great sites like these can reduce the effort, and maximize your savings.

Do you have any great sites for finding money saving coupons and codes to share?

  1. I do like how Save1 does coupons. Why not feed the hungry when you are saving money on purchases? What a way to help out when you are getting helped out.

I agree Grayson – knowing what they’re all about, I’d choose using a coupon from their site over others. Nice to hear from you Grayson!

  2. Retailmenot and Couponcabin are pretty good sites for coupons too.

  3. I use CouponSherpa.com as well as their mobile app. I’m not a big coupon clipper so having the app makes it easier to scroll for deals when I’m out shopping. Otherwise I learn about promotions and coupon codes via email.

We just entered the smart phone era a few months ago, Kendal – so we’re just learning all the cool things that there are apps for. I had heard of CouponSherpa, but admittedly haven’t ever used it – we’re going grocery shopping today, so this is a perfect opportunity to try it out!
