The Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraiser is Ending

Hello everyone! I just wanted to let you all know that I am ending the Big Brothers Big Sisters Fundraiser early. Today will be your last chance to buy an I’m Debt Free game or donate money without buying a game. If you buy a game, $10 of your purchase will go to Big Brothers Big Sisters. The original announcement.

Click here to purchase the I’m Debt Free game!

Email me at freedom {at} enemy of debt {dot}com if you are interested in donating money without buying the game.

So far, including my $100, I will be giving BBBS $214.00! That’s far from my $300 goal without my donation, but it will still be great to give to such a great organization. I would like to thank each and every one of you who helped me with this.

Donations from game purchase: $29.97
Cash donations: $83
My donation: $101.03

Why are you ending your fundraising program early?

  2. I wasn’t going to post, but just in case anyone else is wanting to ask the same thing…out of curiosity, why did you decide to wrap this up early? I’ve had you on my Weekly Favorites for so long…it feels weird to take it down, lol. ๐Ÿ™‚

I decided to pull it early for a few reasons. The main one being that I received no interest from my readers, other than PF bloggers, and the other, is because I am wanting to introduce another debt free board game and felt I couldn’t until this fundraiser was done. In other words I didn’t want to take anything away from the fund-raising results, but as I saw nothing really happening I thought it would be okay to pull it early. I do appreciate all of your effort to help me spread the word. It’s a bummer that I didn’t get the response I was hoping for, but I do realize times are hard for some right now and maybe I didn’t have the best timing for it all. ๐Ÿ˜€

      • I’m sorry it didn’t take off. I for one am strapped for cash thanks to a allergy-ridden dog and a 2 year salary freeze…maybe those kind of things have hit everyone…

Email me when your next fundraiser starts and I’ll be sure to put it up! ๐Ÿ™‚

          It’s okay, I understand COMPLETELY! ๐Ÿ˜€

I didn’t give much extra when I was paying off my debt and most of my readers, if not all, are in debt so it is to be expected. I still say $213 is a good amount to be giving to BBBS so I am very grateful for that.

I will certainly let you know when I come up with another fundraiser. ๐Ÿ™‚
