Two Giveaways and a New Business Venture

Two Sexy Giveaways

Today I wanted to take this opportunity to share some things with you in case you missed it over the weekend. Many of you know Budgets Are Sexy but did you know that Giveaways Are Sexy too? Well they are, and my friend J. Money is making sure of it. This week I am sponsoring a sexy giveaway!!

I have offered up a Financial Peace University Lifetime Membership Kit ($119 value) and you are invited to enter the giveaway. After you finish this post be sure to head over to Giveaways Are Sexy and enter your name to win!!

While we’re on the subject of giveaways, I am holding a giveaway here too. Saturday I posted a book giveaway, where I’m giving away a hardcover copy of The Wealth Cure by Hill Harper.

After being diagnosed with thyroid cancer he went on a journey to sort out the important things in life and The Wealth Cure was born. He points out that you don’t have to receive a similar diagnosis to take control of your finances and offers up this book as a way to help you do just that.

Are you ready for a transformation?

Two giveaways! Many chances to win! Take control of your finances once and for all and stop looking for rainbows in all the wrong places! ๐Ÿ˜€

My New Business Venture

Now I want to share with you a little bit about what I’ve been doing. I’ve been pretty busy actually but everything that is happening right now is very exciting. I introduced you to Hannah Rose a few weeks ago. The week after she was born, I started homeschooling Isaac for Kindergarten. I am also starting my very first business!! All of these things are really a testament to the opportunities that debt freedom provides. If we weren’t debt free these opportunities simply wouldn’t exist. Okay, obviously Hannah could have been born but having debt certainly would have made caring for 3 small children a financial challenge to say the least, especially with only one full time income. I’m working on that second income!

Am I using debt to fund this business?

Ewww yuck!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!ย  Debt for any reason stinks so I’m doing it completely debt free and I hope you expected nothing less! ๐Ÿ˜‰

You don’t have to use debt to start a business, in fact, I recommend against it. I think it’s a mistake to start a business in the red especially when you have no idea as to how profitable your venture will be. A debt free business is the best kind of business! Not only that, but I’m handling my business finances exactly as I am my personal. I’ve got $1,000 starter emergency fund set up for the business and fully intend on putting aside a percentage of my profits to grow that fund over time.

When I’m ready to grow the business and buy new equipment, it’ll all be funded with my cash reserves. I will not be using credit cards or debt of any kind to manage Virginia Printing Company. Running a debt free operation is my primary objective!

I have not officially launched VaPrintingCo just yet but I’m so close I can taste it. Last week I spent a few grand on equipment and have a couple of loose ends to tie up before I can be ready for launch. I still have to build the website and buy some more supplies but the time is near! I will however be wearing some special made shirts for the Financial Bloggers Conference coming up! (By the way, have you voted yet for BEST DEBT BLOG?)

What will I be printing?

The short answer is “if it can be printed I will be able to do it”, but I’ll be printing shirts for businesses but also can do specialty items such as mugs, hats, business cards etc. I have been neck deep in Adobe illustrator learning the program inside and out and will be able to create graphics for people for those shirts, websites, or whatever the customer needs. I’ll be able to offer very affordable pricing and without the annoying minimums most companies have thanks to low overhead.

This is very exciting for me and I’ll be sure to let you know when I’m officially open for business. Have a great week!

Plutus Award FinalistLike this article? Enemy of Debt has been nominated for the BEST DEBT BLOG! Being a finalist is an honor itself, but winning this award would be extremely huge! You can help Enemy of Debt win by taking a few minutes to cast your vote. You have until September 22nd to vote and you do not have to vote in every category if you do not wish to. Ashley of Money Talks Coaching and a contributing author here at Enemy of Debt, has also been nominated for BEST-KEPT SECRET. Please cast your vote and help us win. THANK YOU! ๐Ÿ˜€

  4. “Many of you know Budgets Are Sexy but did you know that Giveaways Are Sexy too?” I beg to disagree! I would rather say, “Budgets are sexy… but giveaways are sexier.” Freeloader! LOL.
