Win a Free iPhone/Android Pay Off Debt App

Hello everyone! In the Manage Your Money challenge that recently ended, I had a sponsor offer up 2 iPhone, and 2 Android Pay Off Debt Apps. However the participants either, had no debt, or had neither of these phones. So today, I would like to give them away to anyone with an iPhone or Android cell phone. I wish we would have had either phone along with this app when we were paying off our debt.

The Pay Off Debt App is an application that uses the debt snowball approach to paying down your debt. As you know that is the method I highly recommend here on EOD. I have written extensively on the debt snowball for two years, and used it myself to rid our home of bothersome debt.

For us, debt is no longer a hindrance in our lives, but maybe you would like to have something to make the process easier for you. After all, I want you to join my wife and I, and the countless others that have taken the debt free plunge. The grass is greener on this side for sure!

Awesome Bucksome! I hope you win! ๐Ÿ™‚

I want an iPhone or an Android SOOO BAD! Matt Jabs and I have discussed how awesome his Android is, however I have AT&T. So while I would love to buy an iPhone, we are considering paying to get out of our contract and going with a no-contract option that would cost us $45 a month each with unlimited everything. I plan to write a post about it probably next week. We currently pay $170 and that is just outrageous to me. Paying $90 for the same capabilities makes perfect sense to me.

With that said it would mean not being able to get wither of these phones, at least until the phone manufacturers decide they would like to make their phones available to the no contract options for everyone. I understand why the cell companies benefit by having the phones exclusive to them, but how does Apple benefit?

      • Beckey & Jeff says:

We just transferred his line over to my AT&T plan, by doing so will cut our cell plans from $180 ($90 each) to $110 for both (my iPhone is provided by my work) so this is for his iPhone (with data) and my regular phone (without data) with family unlimited texting, 450 anytime minutes/month. I can’t wait to see next month’s bill, as this months has the activation fee and pro-rated plans since we transferred him mid-month.

  2. Mike says:

I’e got an iphone. We want to get out of debt so we have more freedom, and be more comfortable with the expenses of having children.

  3. Beckey & Jeff says:

We both have an iPhone and want to be debt free so we can enjoy our lives without being slaves to our debt!

  4. Jeff Kosola says:

    1. I have a Hero and was a beta tester of the app months ago. I know what it can do.

    2. I can’t really think of a good reason to get out of debt. Maybe because everyone else is doing it and I want to feel cool…………….NOT!! I hate debt and I’m sick of busting my butt to get out of it. Of course you already knew that Brad.

I’m currently a subscriber through RSS

    • Brad Chaffee says:

LOL, dude you are a trip. I was like…nuh uh, “you hate debt because it sucks dude”, then you said NOT. Keep doing your thing man, and you’ll be out never to return again! ๐Ÿ™‚

I don’t have either right now, I need one terribly bad to be able to call my sons when they are away if I am not at home, and to be able to get in touch with Roberts Doctor easily for his health probs. The one I have is terrible and doesn’t accept DL’s.
I need to be debt free because I don’t like the stress, I don’t like not being able to take care of emergencies without wondering where the money is coming from. It is just important today to be debt free and getting old is not when you should be carrying any debt around. I definitely don’t want my kids to inherit any debt from me. I also would love to have better credit and taking down my debt load is going to help immensely! Thanks for the chance to help with it.
Your app for killing debt is a great one and a great idea! I will definitely get it when I get the phone!

  6. Rhonda D. says:

I has subscribed to Enemy of Debt and I have the Motorola Droid phone.

Getting out of debt would be such a relief! I would not longer have to wonder who that was calling me and would no longer have to dread listening to voice mails.

Plus it has been a life long goal to buy a house…getting out of debt would certainly help that happen!

    Thanks for the chance!

  7. Tiffany says:

    I’m already a subscriber! Yayy!

Which phone so you currently own โ€“ Android or iPhone? – iPhone
Why is getting out of debt so important to you? – we really want to start a family, but in order to do so, we need a new home. Suffice it to say that we have to walk up five flights of stairs each day and I’m afraid that will be difficult with a baby in tow. But in order to sell the house, we need money (we’re underwater) – so I need to get out of debt – QUICKLY!

  8. Amy says:

    I have a Droid.

I have paid off 8000 of 55000.00 of debt. I always have my phone with me but not my computer and would love to be able to take my debt snowball plan with me whever I go.

The debt snowball plan me focused and with every dollar I pay down on the debt, the weight on my shoulders is lifted just a little bit more!

  9. Brad Chaffee says:

I want a Droid and an iPhone! Wish I could win one. LOL

  10. Kathy says:

I’ve subscribed! Have an iPhone, and we are intensely focusing on paying off our debt so that by the time our youngest graduates from college in three years, we can retire debt free except for our house.

  11. Ernest S. says:

I currently own an iPhone and love it! It really helps me to get things done during the day (of course, at a monthly cost!).

I would love to be free of all my debt! Debt not only interferes with maximizing my retirement investing, but also prevents me from having freedom in exploring a new career and work.

  12. CJ Bowker says:

I have an android and it’s all about freedom and flexibility.

  13. Rhonda D. says:

WOW!!! Thank you!!! I am so excited. I have been trying to get on top of my debt for a long time and this is just the tool I need!

Thanks for your website and for this contest!

    Rhonda D.
