  1. Hey. Thanks for this post of encouragment and push to stay the course! I sent this post to all my twitter, facebook and email friends. I can’t wait to be debt free!!!!

  2. Yo yo YO! Dude, how crazy is that how we posted about me paying off my mortgage more?! I literally had a feeling to write about it this morning and had no idea you were posting this…Looks like frugal minds think alike ;)

I tell you what, after seeing that $1 disappear from my mortgage statement now it really just hit me how awesome it would be to start rockin’ that outta there. Now that my savings is gathered up and I’m comfortable w/ a nice amount, it’s time I concentrate on those mortgages for sure.

And btw, loving your title today – nice and clear and OH SO TRUE. Keep up the good work my friend, the more financial love you spread the better :) See ya on facebook homie.

  3. @David- No problem, I am rooting for you and hope you will decide to announce your debt freedom here as well! Everyone reading is rooting for you too!

@J. Money- The timing is great and I was very glad to see that post from you today! I was thinking about who would be great examples for the idea that without debt, more could be accomplished financially. Your name came up immediately dude! E.C. who commented on the Reader Rewards Program blog yesterday, who is, as you know, a reader of your blog, shares a similar story of debt freedom. His comments yesterday, and your discipline with savings and destroying debt inspired this post. I also plan to write a motivation piece each week. Thanks man, and please come back here to share your success with others!

  4. Oh yeah, I like E.C. def. a fan! I think writing about motivations is essential for this stuff, sometimes all we need is a little kick in the a$$ to make a change – and once we do, it helps us for the rest of our lives! Esp. when it comes to managing money. You learn it once, and you’re home free baby.
