Financial Literacy Month Video Question – Day 18

It’s still Financial Literacy Month and I want to start Monday morning off with a BANG! I have really enjoyed being a part of Steve’s idea to post one video a day on Money Plan SOS. There have been some great video questions and for my second video I decided to get my 5 year old, Isaac, to participate. He was sooo awesome too, as I’m sure you’ll agree! ๐Ÿ™‚

Here’s a link to my first video question in case you missed it.

Let the conversation begin. I would like to encourage all of you to take a second to share your thoughts about both questions in the comment section below. You may also do so on Twitter, using the hash tag #FLMonth (@enemyofdebt, @MoneyPlanSOS), or share this post on facebook. The idea is to get you thinking about how you can make better decisions to improve your financial situation. Your thoughts and ideas matter so please don’t hesitate to share them.

I won’t waste anymore of your time so you can get right to the video. I hope you enjoy it!

Today’s Video Question

For those of you who hate kids (Haha!) and decide to skip the video, here’s the question. ๐Ÿ˜‰

A) Cut spending and budget for essentials in order of priority.
B) Keep your phone and cable but cut your food budget.
C) Continue to spend at previous income levels.
D) Hold your hand out and hope for the best.

Here’s the same question simplified for your children. (watch the video to see Isaac’s answer!)

If you make less money you should:

A) Buy everything you want.
B) Ask Mommy and Daddy for money.
C) Spend less money because you have less money.

Bonus Video Question

I’ve enjoyed participating in Financial Literacy Month so much, I decided to record a second bonus video for all of my wonderful readers! That’s YOU! ๐Ÿ˜€

If you have a maxed out credit card you should:

A) Call and ask to have your limit raised.
B) Apply for another credit card.
C) Cut your credit card up and evaluate your spending habits.

    Brad – that was great!

Brad, I just can’t help but think that you two could be a good ventriloquist act with a bit more practice. I never once saw your lips move.

On the serious side, it would be interesting to pose another sort of question to Congress and the rest of our “leaders.” A question like, “If you’re putting the wealth of the nation at great risk, what is the best thing to do?” Of course, one of the answers needs to be, “We’ll just get the government to fix that.” And, another of the choices has to be, “Well, but that’s just not happening.”

Great videos. Nice job. If your kid runs for office, he has my vote.

LOL, I’m the one that kept messing up my lines. I tried as hard as I could not to mouth what I knew he was going to say. LOL It was fun and gave me some ideas for some future video installments. ๐Ÿ˜€

Our Government is filled with a bunch of boobs with self-interests, none of which involve the American people.
