“I’m Debt Free!” The Game Giveaway

Become Debt Free At Your Very Own Kitchen Table!!

Good afternoon everyone! Today I am giving away something I think you will love. It’s a game called I’m Debt Free! About a month or so ago, I bought one. I have only played it a handful of times since, mostly because of time constraints. I was planning on reviewing this game today, but will save that for another day, when I have something more to add. For now, I want to give a couple of these games out to my awesome readers!

Learn about money and being debt free the fun way!!

From the website:

“I’m Debt Free! makes learning the mechanics of personal finance fun and easy. Playing I’m Debt Free is like lifting weights for your financial mind. The game can also be a great way to bring up those tough money topics in a fun, non-threatening way.

The object of the game is to dig your way out of debt by building up your asset base, increasing cash flow, and keeping enough cash for emergencies. You’ll inevitably run into a few bumps along the road and the choices you make will determine whether you end up deeper in debt or on your way to financial freedom.”

When’s the last time you sat around the kitchen table for some good old-fashioned family entertainment?

It has been a while since I sat around the table but just last month we laid around on the floor some Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders (our son is only 3)… oh yeah and the ever popular Hungry Hungry Hippos.

    I tweeted it out too.

We semi-regularly play something. With in the last two weeks we played Trivial Pursuit: The Star Wars Saga (DVD) version. It’s sad how good our 4-year old is at it.

My cats don’t like sitting around the table playing games so I don’t do it often. I did get out to a friend’s home some time ago to play games. This one sounds like a lot of fun. I Tweeted it to all my Tweets! I’ll share it on Facebook and maybe LinkedIn as well!

We have fairly regular game times. Hubby and I played Risk last week, and we’ve done some one one one Mastermind with our son, but it’s been about 2 weeks since the four of us played together. I’d love to check this game out. Thanks for the entry!

  8. Casey says:

It’s probably been about 5 years since we had our “family game nights”. I was just thinking about how much we enjoyed them and should start again. I really enjoy your blog.

  9. Mark Roberts says:

What a cool sounding game! The last time I sat down and played a board game was actually last week, my wife and I played Careers with some friends. I’m already subscribed to your blog via RSS and I tweeted your contest via twitter as well (http://twitter.com/robertsm85/status/12247663518). Thanks for the contest and good luck to everyone!

I can’t even remember the last time we played a board game. The last game I played with family was a DVD game – Scene it.

P.S. I’m a subscriber (can’t miss a single post of yours!) and will tweet.

  14. Debbie Fegley says:

I just subscribed to emails! Love your site!! It’s been way too long since our “family game nights” — time to get the tv off and get the games out!!

  15. Ernest S. says:

Sadly, the last time we played a board game was during the holidays. Unfortunately (or fortunately), we’ve been playing The Beatles Rock Band during family get-togethers.

  16. Just a couple weeks ago the wife and I were playing Apples to Apples and Cranium with another couple!

  17. Steve says:

Is it a card game or a board game? From the description it sounds like a board game but the picture only shows cards.

  18. Cindi Newcomb says:

Oh, say it ain’t true. The last game we sat and played was CashFlow. It’s the Rich Dad game that teaches you how to borrow your way to wealth. Then we went out and found someone to loan us the downpayment and the money to fix up a house and then we found a bank that gave us money to buy a house we could rent out. Then we hit the wall and “discovered” how much in debt we REALLY were and how in trouble we were that we were charging our utilities. Hey, does anyone want to buy CashFlow? So after FPU were sold the truck and retooled the budget and have paid off over $6000 in debt and are on our way to real freedom.

  19. gina says:

I already subscribe via email!! love it by the way, you have helped us a lot!! I would love this game, it might even help discussions at our monthly debt meetings ive started with friends!

  20. Scott says:

We get together for a game night about once per month. Last time it was the classics: Battleship, Guess Who, and a similar game called Guess Where. Good times ๐Ÿ™‚

Also big fans of Dave Ramsey, though I don’t remember him being officially associated with this game.

  21. Donna says:

I have not played anything for at least 10 years since my kids are all grown. I am looking forward to spending time with my grandkids playing Sorry (my favorite) but they are only 1 and 2 right now. When I was growing up we playing many cards games, Monopoly, Sorry etc. I really miss that time. I am already a subscriber.

  22. Rishi says:

just played last night w/ my family. Thanks

  23. Alicia says:

I played Boggle with my mom – first one to 100 wins. Great game. I’m looking forward to reading more of your posts.

  24. Sarah A says:

Lets see… it’s been awhile. We love to play games but recently moved and are seeking out other couple who like to play as well. Since we are currently entrenched in Financial Peace University there is not much time to play games ๐Ÿ™‚ but we look forward to the time when we really can Live Like No One Else (and play more games!) We love the Catan games and after playing “Cash Flow” by Rich Dad we thought how much more fun a game based on the premise of being debt free would be… so here’s hoping we get to find out! I don’t tweet, but I’ll promote you on my facebook page!

  25. Caroline says:

A few months ago we sat around and played Scrabble. So much fun!

  26. Jan says:

Thank you so much! My husband and kids and I love to play board games and we will be thrilled to play this one. What a wonderful way to teach the principles to the whole family.
