One Year Anniversary!!

Hey Everyone!

On April 5th, 2008, I was inspired to start my very first blog ever!  The mission was simple.  Spread the word about living debt free!!  Three months earlier we started our Total Money Makeover and discovered through the process, a little thing called HOPE!  It was such an invigorating experience as we watched our habits and financial situation transform before our eyes.

Around the same time I started the online version of Financial Peace University and a passion started pouring out of me like never before.  I finished watching every lesson and passed every test within about two weeks!!  I was hooked!!  It was then that I realized my desire to help others change their financial future was my new goal in life.  I truly believe my purpose on this Earth is to help others learn the money principles taught in the Bible, as well as in Dave Ramsey’s FPU.

I also took it upon myself to start leading and coordinating FPU at my church.  I am coming up on the end of the second round of classes and it has been a joyous experience to watch so many people experience that same feeling we did.  To share that with others is amazing!

We started with approximately $25,000 and just one year and three months later we have eliminated all but about $3,444!  Goodbye student loans!  Goodbye credit cards!  Goodbye car payments!  Goodbye DEBT, BONDAGE, & SERVITUDE…Hello Financial Peace!  The transformation has been priceless and we look forward to the sweet, sweet taste of becoming debt free very soon!

I have written over 75 articles as well as had the opportunity to feature 14 guest articles.  Thanks to Chuck and Mikki for writing those articles!  I have published two budgets, with the latest, EOD Deluxe Budget 2.0, being the most popular.  Thanks to everyone for your support, encouragement, and inspiration!  It has been a wonderful and extremely fun year!
