It’s been a rather exciting week in the Pizel household.
First, we closed on our mortgage refinance last Friday and now have our mortgage nicely wrapped up in one fixed rate loan. More on that adventure in an upcoming staff post bia My Personal Finance Journey. Watch my twitter feed for when it goes live, or check here in next week’s Shameless Self Promotion section. 🙂
This was the first full week implementing the home grown weight loss plan I cooked up using lessons learned from getting our finances back on track. As per the info in the newly renamed Weight Loss Update section, I lost 4.9 pounds. In one week. How freaking awesome is that? I had a kick ass week with my workouts, and I feel like I’m eating cleaner (lots of fruits, veggies and water), but I also am not depriving myself since we are otherwise eating generally the same as we had been – just less of it.
After that surprisingly awesome weigh in, I feel like fist pumping…..

You’re welcome, and thanks Lance – I hope to ride the momentum!
We appreciate your including the post here. Thx!
You bet, Aaron – great post!
Yay! Nice job Travis! I’ve been tracking this week in myfitnesspal but I find myself now obsessing about food all the time. But I’m not happy running around with a mushy middle. 🙁 Have a great weekend!
I’m thinking about food a lot more than I wish I was as well…I’m hoping that once we get into the groove that all these food thoughts stop!
Awesome job on the weight loss Travis!! I’ve got the working out part down I just need to work a little harder on my eating. 😀
Thanks for the mention as well. Have a super awesome weekend bro!

That is a great roundup and congrats on the refi!
Great stuff!
Thanks DebtGirl, feels great to have our mortgage finally squared away!
Awesome progress with the weight loss, Travis! I don’t plan on making too many changes to my diet except for portions.
Portion size is the #1 problem with how people eat (in my opinion)…we combine smaller portions with the goal of 4-6 fruits/vegetables servings and I think we’re doing pretty darn good. thanks for your thoughts, Lisa!
