Walmart-FamilyMobile-MarathonOnly two more shopping weekends until Christmas, how is your shopping coming along??  My kids submitted their lists last week, and we’ve been picking items off as the days tick by.  We’ll pick up a few more items this weekend, and I’ve got some gifts for Vonnie ordered online and being shipped.  This could turn out to be the easiest Christmas shopping season ever!!

To keep you financially motivated and on track, here’s my favorite posts of the week…..check ’em out and give them some love – and do NOT forget to pump those fists!

  1. I can’t believe Christmas is THAT close Travis, it’s crazy! We’re done for the kids and our family. My wife and I aren’t exchanging this year so that was easy. 🙂 Thanks again for your help on the post for Daily Finance. Have a great weekend sir!

  2. Thanks for including my post, Travis! It’s funny…I wasn’t sure how well that post would go over and actually delayed publishing it for a few weeks (kept putting other posts in front of it). I’m glad people enjoyed it.

My wife and I are spending $20 on each other this year and I picked up $5 worth of it yesterday. Now to get the other $15 worth. We did get practically everything done for everyone else as of yesterday. My wife did a lot of the work so I appreciated that.

Hope you guys have a great weekend. We are headed to a coffee shop to hang out with a friend on their birthday and will be going to a work Christmas party tonight.

I love the idea of setting a spending limit on gifts exchanged with spouses….it fosters creativity to see how you can get for the predetermined amount. 🙂

  3. Wow. DC (above) and his wife are spending $20 on each other. My husband and I are spending $150 + stocking stuffers on each other. Hmmm… I think this will be our most frugal Christmas yet, but we clearly have some cutting we could still do. I guess we have to set our own pace though. (There’s that pace thing again : )
