This Sunday is Father’s Day, so I’d like to give an extra special fist pump to all the dads out there! The best gift I received from my wife for Father’s Day was very simple: Time. I’m a busy guy, constantly in motion doing things to keep the household running. One year she told me that for the afternoon I could do whatever I wanted. I decided to finally get to trimming the trees in the front yard of the home we lived in at the time. I just couldn’t ever seem to find the time to get it done, but I spent all afternoon outside on a gorgeous afternoon doing yard work, then I went for a run. Best Father’s Day ever!

Happy Father’s Day Travis! Hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks Tonya, I visited my parents for part of the weekend, and my family made Father’s Day extra special with a scavenger hunt to find my gifts. Feeling the love!
Hope you have a great Father’s Day Travis! Time is the best gift for me as well. We get so little of it that to be given time to do what I want, which is usually something with the kids, that I soak it up for all it’s worth.
I love being a Dad, John…..I’m looking forward to having a great summer with my kids – I’m making a special point to making some great memories. Happy Father’s Day to you too, John!
Happy Father’s Day to you, too, man! It’s funny….Cheryl keeps asking me what I want for Father’s Day, and the answer (over and over) is “nothing.” I’m a pretty content guy right about now….
I hear you there, Joe…that’s my usual answer as well for most “gift giving” holidays. I’d rather that we just do something as a family! thanks for stopping by!
Happy Father’s Day, Travis! I’m with you – time is a huge gift. Chris has given me time and the house to myself as a gift before and it will pure bliss. I love my family dearly but just having a few hours for me, makes me a better Mom and wife. Thanks for the fist pump – I appreciate the support!
We all need time to recharge our batteries, right Shannon? Sometimes all I need is my wife to tell me “Go have a great workout” – I go to the gym for a few hours and I’m ready to be SuperDad again! 🙂 Thanks for dropping in!
Thanks for the mention Travis, and Happy Dad’s Day to you!
You’re welcome, Kurt, appreciate your comment!
