Uffda, it’s been a busy week! For those of you not familiar with “uffda” it’s a Norwegian phrase, but I think you get the idea of what it means and it sums up my week pretty darned well. One of the very cool things that happened this week was that I increased my flat bench press maximum weight during my strength training routines…..twice.
That never happens. Never.
On Monday, I lifted 275lbs for the first time. Yesterday I pushed 280. I was super excited as this is by far the strongest I’ve ever been. I literally leaped off the bench and did a fist pump – much like I did when I read the posts below – check ’em out!

Thanks for sharing your experience, Stephanie – I enjoyed reading about how you pushed yourself through a difficult period!
Thanks for the mention Travis! Have an awesome weekend 🙂
I identified with being “Financially Under Construction,” MacKenzie – I’ve thought of it a few times this week as Vonnie and I have talked about our finances. We’re not perfect, but we’re building a solid foundation. 🙂
Wow, 280! I’m happy most weeks when I just get to workout (it’s getting better).
Thanks for mentioning our Spending Cycle article.
Working out has just become a part of my day – just like eating or sleeping, Glen. That and I think this is my mid-life crisis. LOL.
Great list of suggested reading for this weekend. I have already gone through some of them and I will visit the other blog posts later today. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you’re enjoying them, Manette – great to hear from you!
Thanks for the shout out! Really appreciated and and I’m glad you enjoyed my post.
You’re post really hit home for me, Mr. 1500…..at the moment I’m one of those guys who doesn’t feel like I’ll ever officially retire just because I feel like I need to stay active and involved in something. But I definitely don’t want to be at a job I hate when I’m elderly because I HAVE to! Looking forward to reading more great posts from you!
Thank you for the mention! We really appreciate it. Enjoy your weekend.
I had a great time writing that article, Cherleen – I think it’s the first time I actually did research for a blog post – and it will certainly help us out as we begin our Costco Membership experience. 🙂
