Today’s the last day of the school year for my kids, and I’m celebrating. This means that my morning routing just got a whole lot less complicated for the next three months. I honestly think I’m more excited about the summer than they are. Is that wrong?

Last day of school, that means it’s REALLY summer now 🙂 enjoy it!
It also means I can sleep in just a bit longer too, since I don’t have to make breakfast and lunches and make sure everyone is where they need to be on time!
I’m very excited for summer as well. Thanks for the mention!
Anytime, Kim…..hope we both have great Summers!
It’s funny but I’d aways imagined that parents have it easier when kids are in school, but from everything I’ve been reading on FB with status updates, it seems summer is easier. I think we drove our parents crazy during the summer! 🙂 Thanks so much for the link love!
There are some that do celebrate when kids go back to school because they aren’t at home driving parents nuts anymore – but both Vonnie and I work so that’s not really a factor. The sentiment can also be driven by the age of the children. Younger children require supervision, thus can be more hectic for parents. However my kids are old enough to be self sufficient….so summer time is like a vacation for me too. 🙂
Thanks for the mention Travis! We started summer break a week ago and are loving it. On to our vacation in a few short hours. Have a great weekend!
Ooh, vacation…hope you have a good one, Brian!!!
Thanks Travis for including Money Counselor in your Roundup, I appreciate it!
You’re welcome Kurt….keep the good stuff coming!
