The kids are off of school Thursday and Friday of this week so we decided to something fun with them. We live about an hour south of the Minneapolis/St.Paul metropolitan area, and door to door it’s about 70 minutes to the Mall Of America. In the middle of the mall is an indoor amusement park called Nickelodeon Universe. I get all day ride wrist bands at a great discount (about 33% off), which helps with the cost. We allowed them each to bring one friend, and we spent the day riding rides, checking out a few stores, and then meeting friends and family that live in the area for dinner at one of our favorite Italian Restaurants. It was a fantastic day, but now I’m ready to spend the rest of the weekend just lounging.
What do you have going on this weekend? I hope it includes some fist pumping….

Sounds like a fun day, Travis!! Our kids love that place too. Curious to know what your fave Italian restaurant is. 🙂
Red Rosa was the restaurant we went to, Laurie. The food is great, and we’ve always received spectacular service!
Thanks for the mention, BTW!
You’re welcome – great post!
Thank you for the mention! I hope you have an awesome weekend! I’ll spend mine working =(
I’ll be spending a fair amount of time doing blogging related activities as well, Holly. The life of a blogger is never without a dull moment. 🙂
Thanks for the fist pump, Travis! I’ve been to Minneapolis numerous times for work, but I’ve never checked out the Mall of America. My meetings were all downtown. In some ways, it’s probably a good thing! Sounds like a fun day for the kids and adults. Have a great weekend!
You should give me a shout when you’re in town, Shannon – it’d be fun to meet up for a blogger lunch or something.
That sounds like something I’d love to do! Although I do prefer bigger, scarier amusement parks. 🙂 Thanks so much for the link love!
It’s actually pretty impressive what they’ve been able to include in an indoor amusement park, Tonya – although it’s certainly not up to the same thrill level as your average outdoor park. But in MN, you take what you can get when it starts getting colder outside. 🙂
I am afraid of that mall for obvious reasons! 😉
xoxo
I know the feeling, debtgirl….of course I never go there for actual shopping. It’s just too overwhelming. 🙂
