Check Out the PF Comics: Deliver Away Debt Revealed!

Photo Credit: Memory_Freak Jeff is one of my favorite bloggers. I love his passion and desire to get his family out of debt, even if it means he has to sacrifice himself in the process. This is the act of a selfless father and loving husband. An act that comes from wanting to make the family stronger. Becoming debt free is all about your family! This is why I wanted to write Jeff from Deliver Away Debt into the awesome PF Comics series put together by Fred & Jeremy over at Credit Card Daily. This comic also features and/or draws […] Read more »

Debt Free News From A Debt Free Reader #14

Welcome to Another Debt Free Friday Baby! This next debt free blogger is an inspiration, and quite frankly, I like her style. She is something that doesn’t seem to go together these days; young and financially savvy. Something else that I find interesting is how she embraced minimalism to combat her prior spending habits. My wife and I have felt the liberating feeling that comes with getting rid of our crap, and recently made great money doing it. I am definitely a believer that less is actually better! The other thing I like about FB is her nomadic side. I […] Read more »

Consumer Debt: The Black Hole of Personal Finance

A black hole is considered to be the most dangerous place in the universe. And in matters of personal finance, I consider debt to be that place. Sure there are other areas of the financial universe that can cause dangerous circumstances to arise, but the same can be said for the universe. A black hole is not the only way to “meet your maker”, but it probably is the fastest and most destructive. The major difference I can see, is that unlike getting sucked into a black hole, with debt, you CAN escape its gravitational pull. The only way to […] Read more »

“Thank God it’s Debt Free Friday!” That sounds a lot better than the popular “I hate my job, and the weekend is the only time I can enjoy life” counter part. Martin Luther King Jr Had a Dream – Do You?

As I had a chance to reflect on one of America’s great historic figures this weekend, I couldn’t help but think of you. Granted, what this man endured had nothing to do with personal finance, but it had everything to do with amazing self-sacrifice, determination, courage and hope. These are all things that are needed when trying to defy overwhelming odds in order to make big changes in your life. On August 28, 1963 Martin Luther King Jr. delivered one of the most inspirational speeches ever, about a dream and a vision he had for America. That dream was inspired […] Read more »

Perfect Example As To Why You Must Have An Emergency Fund

This is a spontaneous post, brought on by my lingering frustration with how people still manage their money. Hasn’t towering unemployment, record foreclosures, and the looming threat of a double-dip recession (as if there ever was a recovery) taught people anything? For some of us it has, but for others, not so much. That is still better than before we were hit by this recession, BUT I feel I should remind you that we have proven to be a nation plagued by amnesia. As soon as things improve, some of the very same people will go back to their old […] Read more »

I want to have a little fun today! I hope the title got your blood pumping enough to want to give me a piece of your mind!! I have had this in mind for quite some time, so I think I have waited long enough. I want to introduce a way for you to share your thoughts about anything financially related. It’s also much cheaper and comes with FREE shipping. Total cost: $22.00. I have to admit, we weren’t making a very great effort to sit around the kitchen table to enjoy a family […] Read more »

The Power of Momentum

This is a guest post written by Jesse from Personal Finance Firewall. For those of you that haven’t heard, Brad, a few other bloggers around here, and I joined a weight loss challenge back in May. The challenge was to lose as much weight as possible within a three month time span. The prize was great, and the excitement fueled us. Brad, along with every other member of the five man team, jumped right into the challenge and started pumping iron, playing hockey and hiking up mountainsides..it was and still is an incredible group to be a part of. I […] Read more »
