Amazon Makes The Online Return Process Easy and Worry Free

Doing most of my Christmas shopping online was unbelievably convenient, but there was always one thing about the process that worried me. What would happen if something had to be returned? My mind would instantly create a scenario in which it was nightmarish, hard process which would take months to get my money returned. Fortunately, the process was simple and I got my money credited quicker than I would have imagined. I ordered from Amazon a ski jacket my son had picked out, as he wanted to go skiing with his friends. When the coat arrived it didn’t fit right. […] Read more »

Save Money On Your Home Improvement Projects With The Sherwin-Williams Paint Perks Program

When the cashier asked if I wanted to join their rewards program, I agreed and filled out the short form.  But I wondered if it was really going to benefit me, or if it would simply add to my email inbox clutter. We’re anticipating the arrival of a snowstorm in Minnesota that will dump somewhere between 6-12 inches of snow on us between today and tomorrow.  In anticipation of not being able or wanting to leave the house for the next day or two, I went to the grocery store to pick up some essentials.  Well, that was my intention anyway.  I ended up full fledged grocery shopping.  I guess I should have had a list……. Nobody Cares About Your Insurance Benefits But YOU

Don’t think for an instant that insurance companies care about saving you money on your medical expenses. It’s your job to make sure they cover everything your plan provides, and that the money actually gets where it’s supposed to go. If you don’t, you could pay hundreds or thousands of dollars too much out of your pocket. My daughter got braces on her teeth earlier in the year. Our insurance provides orthodontic coverage of 50%, with a lifetime maximum benefit of $2500. Each month the orthodontist sends the insurance company a bill for $229 and in return the insurance company […] Read more »

I’ve held off as long as I could, but I can’t prevent it from happening any longer. I’ve knocked out a HUGE chunk of my Christmas shopping by just sitting in front of the computer, typing and clicking, then waiting for the packages to arrive.  Unfortunately I’ve reached the point in the program where I need to go to physical brick and mortar stores to complete my shopping.  Wish me luck.  How much of your shopping have you done online this year?? How Costco Can Save You Money On Gasoline Even If You’re Not A Member

One of the selling points of a Costco membership is that members can fill up their tanks for less at Costco. People shell out their $55 membership fee believing they’ll make up the fee simply by buying gas at Costco. The good news for people not interested in a Costco membership is they can take advantage of Costco gasoline prices without even being a member. Over the weekend I discovered something I’ve coined, “The Costco Effect.” My gas gauge was hovering just above ‘E,’ and I was looking to fill up. I checked prices on my way to the gym […] Read more »

I’m Not Spending a Penny On My Wife For Christmas, and She’s Going To Love It

I’m not spending a penny on my wife for Christmas this year, and she’s going to absolutely be thrilled about it. With the holidays approaching, conversations of gift ideas are being had between spouses, family members and friends. My wife and I were having a discussion about tasks that needed to be done yet to prepare for hosting Thanksgiving at our home. She got a little off topic, listing other less Thanksgiving critical tasks she wanted to have done. Sensing I was about to go into my usual speech about prioritization and doing only the things absolutely needing completion by […] Read more »
