Master Your Freedom Because Being The Slave To A Master SUCKS!
It seems that most people consider the word freedom to only pertain to physical slavery. I’ve had many conversations on the subject and have been surprised to find that some do not see having debt as a form of slavery. In my mind, I find that laughable, but it is far from funny. Personally, I feel it is nothing more than denial and denial solves nothing. As they say, the truth shall set you free. I think that most people know the generic definition of freedom, but let’s assume for a second that they don’t. The Definition of Freedom Actually […] Read more »
Debt Free News From A Debt Free Reader #4
Hello everyone. I hope you all have a wonderful debt free Friday. I’ve decided to share another Debt Free News From A Debt Free Reader submission with you today. One of the things I’ve learned from listening to people call into the Dave Ramsey Show to scream they’re debt free—hearing that call makes a HUGE difference. Hearing someone else to the point of tears after finally paying off that debt is an emotional experience. Paying off debt is like running a marathon. It takes A LOT out of you—tremendous strength, discipline, sacrifice, and endurance—but each and every cramp is worth […] Read more »
Lifestyle Design And Debt Freedom Go Hand And Hand

When we reach Friday we know we have the weekend to do WHATEVER WE WANT. It’s almost our purpose for the entire week. (ZOMBIE-LIKE) “Make it to Fri-daaay.” We enjoy our weekend so much that when the dreaded M-word registers in our head late Sunday […] Read more »

Debt Is A Lot Like Chewing Gum
You can smell the flavor before you even get it unwrapped. Mmmm! It’s going to be so refreshing. You start vigorously chewing with focused attention as you excrete the juicy taste from the once dry, powdery stick of gum. It’s so good and you hope it never ends, but as much as you enjoy it, you start to realize that the love affair is over. That taste that was promised to last forever now tastes like wet cardboard. What do you do? You grab two pieces. Maybe, just maybe, it will last for ten minutes instead of just five. Something […] Read more »

Bankruptcy – A Solution, A Cop-out, Or An Enabler?
Have you ever considered filing bankruptcy to resolve your financial crisis? I know I have, but was so very glad that someone who cared about me decided to speak up. Determining yourself to be financially incapable is nothing to take lightly, but it seems that these days, filing for bankruptcy is no different than having your teeth cleaned. I refer to filing for bankruptcy as the equivalent of taking the morning after pill to prevent unwanted pregnancy, and here’s why. The fact of the matter is that in both cases, someone wakes up one day and suddenly realizes “Hey, I […] Read more »
5 Simple Ways To Pay Down Your Credit Card Bills Faster – Entirely On Your Own
Hello everyone! As you know I am still on vacation, but wanted to still give you something to chew on for the week. Kris who writes for debt-tips.com, submitted this guest post, and although he and I disagree on debt consolidation, we both agree that becoming and staying debt free is a good thing. I also try not to flush people out just because I disagree with them on a few issues, as I feel that there is most of the time something of value to be heard. For the most part, I think Kris has given some good advice. […] Read more »
Reader Question: Where Do I Start If My Income Is Nothing?
First, I would like to let everyone know that I am on vacation this week. I intend to post as usual but don’t want to promise anything only to disappoint anyone. I am currently in Savannah, Georgia on my way to Orlando (NOT going to Disney), Fort Lauderdale, and Naples. We plan to return on Tuesday of next week, but could possibly stay longer since we aren’t under any real time constraints. Now that is out of the way, I would like to discuss a readers question that I have been wanting to respond to for a while now. After […] Read more »

Hello everyone! There has been a change of plan. Originally, I wanted to share with you how my wife and I were earning extra dollars and saving money, but that post is incomplete. This story comes to you via one of my followers on Twitter. He recently became debt free, and I jumped on the opportunity to get him to share his […] Read more »
The Day I Killed My Credit Card
This article is dedicated to the blogger at Cash Only Living. She said she loved my site and invited me to check out one of her posts. I read it and liked it, but another article she wrote called “I Did It! No More Credit Cards!!” grabbed my attention even more. It inspired me to write something about how I felt when we paid off our last credit card. I decided to make it fun by turning it into a story. This has never been done here so I hope I don’t let you down. 😀 Read about when she […] Read more »
