I Lost 18 Pounds in 14 Days!!

Hello everyone! Today is the day I reveal how much weight I lost in just 14 days while doing the Rev Abs 14-day jump start nutrition program. All in all, it was GREAT! The first week went off without a hitch, but week two was a bit more difficult as I experienced elevated cravings pretty much all week long. When I began this jump start program (two weeks ago) I weighed in at 280 pounds. The first seven days I had the most incredible results. One week ago today, I weighed in at 266 pounds. That is not a typo! […] Read more »

TEST POST: Feed Summary to Full Text

As many of you know, and some have even complained about, Enemy of Debt’s feed publishes the summary and not the full text. I know this has been a pain and I want to thank all of you for your continued patience as I have struggled to fix this problem. I may have good news! This post will either confirm that or leave me clueless as to why my feed is showing as a summary. I have tried everything possible. According to WordPress it should publish full text. According to the options I know about on feedburner, it is supposed […] Read more »

It’s True, I Get Paid to Write for American Express

American Express? Yep, You Read That Correctly I was recently contacted by someone who wanted to know if I would be interested in getting paid to write articles geared towards helping young people become more financially responsible. I responded with interest and wanted to know more. When I found out that the new site called CURRENCY, was being developed by American Express and Federated Media, I chuckled at the irony, but the timing couldn’t have been better. Currency Launched on Tuesday. Here are two of my published articles: Looking for a Job? Get Creative Going Back to School? Don’t Ruin […] Read more »

Switching to Frugal Theme This Weekend

Hello debt haters! I just wanted to let you know that this weekend my site is going to be going through some changes. At times when you visit, it may appear as though my wife and I had a money fight on Enemy of Debt. Things will sometimes be scattered and possibly even broken, for hopefully very short periods of time, as I work to put EOD back together again. I hope to have everything at least back to normal by Monday. In the next few weeks I will be testing different ideas that I have had over the two […] Read more »

Today is Enemy of Debt’s 2 Year Anniversary!

I have been at it for two who years. WOW! I can hardly believe it myself. First, I want to thank all of you for keeping me motivated each and every week to continue to spread the debt free message. Before Enemy of Debt I had not written a thing, with exception to some high school papers long, long ago. To me, sticking this blog thing out is a huge accomplishment. I started to fade out around December of 2008 and feel I was close to just giving it up. I think most bloggers experience this same feeling at some […] Read more »

Brad Goes To Sweet Briar

Well everybody, the big day has come and gone.  Friday was quite the day indeed.   For those of you that do not know I was asked to speak at Sweet Briar College (a girls college) about starting out with topics such as savings, budgeting, student loans, and buying a house.  The event was being held for a local Grapevine group called Virginia Network of Black/African-American Women in Higher Education.  It was a great bunch of ladies! As far as  being nervous I never really got nervous.  That came as a huge surprise for me but I am pretty sure my […] Read more »

The Time Is Near – Wish Me Luck!

Hello everyone!  As some of you know I am speaking at a college this Friday, for one whole hour, to a group of ladies about budgeting, saving, student loans, and buying a home.  I was asked to speak about those topics for people who are just starting out, and I said yes, while a little but very loud voice screamed NOOOOOOO!! Fear caused me to want to say no, but courage caused me to step outside of my comfort zone to get things done.  If I want to get better at communicating my message, saying YES was the only answer.  […] Read more »
